Zacarias, is the son of Marcelino Menchavez and Gregoria Abellana from Sogod Cebu. He was born on Dec. 25, 1906 and worked in DPWH since adulthood. We didn't knew his other siblings but only Lucio Menchavez, was told being murdered and his body were dropped off in a cliff near the 'Stoned Mill'. Grandpa married Ceriaca Lasdoce from Bogo Cebu in mid 1920's and settle there. They were blessed with 11 children, 2 of them died at early childhood. Mother told, they didn't ever step on the ancestral land Sogod.
For now, only our family tree were completed. We still gathering info on the family of the siblings of our mother.
To the siblings of our great-grandparents, grandparents and whoever might knew them, let us know who you are....your relatives were just here! "Mag ila-ila ta!"....hehehe
